Unpopular Thomas Opinions

Even more from me:
1) I don't think there needs to be any more specials. At least not as a yearly thing.
2) S19 has been the weakest season of the Arc era so far (though Toad and the Whale, Wild Water Rescue, and Den and Dart are amazing).
3) Despite the great humour, I particularly don't find S19's Christmas/Winter episodes to be as good as everyone else does.
4) Although I really enjoy it, SLOTLT is heavily flawed.

1. Since this is apparently unpopular, I like the yearly specials. Gives us something to look forward to.
2. I like ERTL.
3. I hate Trackmaster/Tomy. Too noisy.

I don't see a point in the world tour videos.

I haven't decided about 1 and 3. Because I'm not sure about them. I mean, my favourite of the Christmas themed episodes of Season 19 is Diesel's Ghostly Christmas.

I agree with 2. I blame 5's scheduling for this! And no, I'm not judging a season on who returns or not.

I partly agree and disagree with 4.

C5 hardly has anything to do with my opinion there; I'm just not enjoying the episodes all that much.

Anyway, more from me:
1) H is for Harold > Harold the Helicopter
2) I like Tale of the Brave less every time I see it. I find it quite boring overall, with some scenes (such as Cranky stopping the ship) feeling much less epic. I also find the scene where Percy saves James to be laughable.

Actually, I liked "Harold the Helicopter" better. I remember back when YouTube was founded (or shortly thereafter), I built TOMY layouts in our former office at Beit Noam, and I had the large, magnetic Harold from the Cargo Station (with the flight rod) hooked to a bunch of balloons (if I remember correctly) hanging from the ceiling, pretending he was actually flying, with the song in the background.

Have to agree there, after watching it twice, it's definitely not the best. Same goes for King of the Railway, but SLOTLT hasn't lost it's charm yet.

Here are some more:

1. Apart from Boco, Terence and Duke, i think the majority of the characters have now returned. We don't need anymore for the time being.
2. I have a feeling that the Start Your Engines! episodes happens after SLOLT.
3. The animation in Tale of the Brave was the same as Season 19 onward's, just at a lower brightness

Been a while since my last post here, so here are some more unpopular opinions from me:

1. I'm not looking forward to The Great Race, even if we see real engines in it. It's just Planes with Thomas characters, from what we've heard so far.
2. Tale of the Brave is pretty bad, and isn't as good as it was when it first came out.
3. Season 19 is pretty weak to me so far. I'm not sure if it's just because I find the stories pretty 'meh', or it's because the episodes are far too overhyped before being released.
4. The more I think about S19's airing schedule in the UK, the less I understand why fans are so mad about it. Sure, it isn't fair on the kids, and airing Christmas episodes in January, of all months, is ridiculous, but all we get is the exact same episodes that are already on YouTube and released on DVD in the US in a different dub. Plus, as bad as the US dub is (even though it has gotten considerably better), it's still English, we can all understand it. What's the fuss for?

Wait, how is it that the US dub is bad? I find it to be on par with the UK dub, and quite good mind you.

'Sactly. I don't see what the fuss is about: I just want to know the storyline.

More opinions from me.

1. I like Tale of the Brave a lot. Considering that most opinions of this is this "It's bad" (which isn't wrong, I just think differently), I'm guessing this is unpopular.
2. I think Season 19 is a bit better than Season 18, though I see how it can be weak.
3. I think C5's schedule thing is annoying, mostly because it's not fair on the kids, not because we haven't see any episodes, considering all the episodes we know about are all on DVD or on YouTube.

1. I like Seasons 1-4 and Season 17 onward the same but both eras have dozens of flaws.
2. I think the classic music should return in the style of TAB and most of the new series music is boring and sleepy. (This opinion is starting to become unpopular).
3. The TV series would work with 21st century technology if done right.
4. Season 19 has too much Thomas.
5. Duck, Oliver, Bill, Ben and the Skarloey Railway are underused compared to the Steam Team.
6. I think Daisy should of stayed on Thomas' branch line. This way she would appear more often as Thomas' branch line appears quite frenetically now.

Some of those aren't even opinions, they're just loose facts. I mean, you can't really say that they AREN'T underused can you?

For #3, as we are discussing in gtasodorpellcheck's thread, it probably would work, but we'd hate it cuz' it'd ruin the atmosphere.

Reason why I put 3 is because it appears to be unpopular as only some seem to agree.

I. Feeling 'meh' about The Great Race. On one hand, we could see some real engines, and it could prove to be a good special. Though, I don't think at this point, it'll be as good as SLOTLT or TAB, but we'll just have to wait and see.
II. Don't particularly care for Logan, but I'm sooper-dooper excited for Dustin, and I really like Logan.
III. I want to see the Vicar of Wellsworth in the series again.

I'm right now feeling somewhat mixed about The Great Race; because wasn't the whole lesson of Thomas' and Bertie's great race about the dangers of racing? I mean, how can it be justified?

Not really..!
If anything, I think it was trying to teach that it's okay to have a bit of fun and a friendly rivalry once in a while.

Thomas has been racing Bertie again since Season 17 so the racing part doesn't matter in my opinion.

Those two lines were seperate, I was expressing my opinion too. This thread isn't a big list, otherwise it might qualify as a game. We are DISCUSSING these; that's what forums are for, right?

The Great Race looks... not as epic as Lost Treasure, and I have no clue how Thomas is supposed to win the race in the end (If there is one, but... there kind of has to be.)

Maybe there are different races for different engines (like a tank engine race, a shunting diesel race, etc.)

Here's an unpopular opinion:

Thomas Comes Home is considered one of, if the not THE, worst Railway Series books. Whenever I hear that, I'm left scratching my head. WHY? The stories in it are some of my all-time favorites of Christopher Awdry. "Snow Problem", for instance, gets a 10/10 in my book.
