I'm starting to warm up to Flora (the same Steam Tram from that S12 episode I can't remember and won't ever watch again ).

To be honest, I... sort of get why people like Misty Island Rescue. For me, it's severely annoying and riddled with holes.

Re: Unpopular Thomas Opinions
Going back to my opinion about the Hornby Thomas engines looking weird, The Bowled Out Diesel is weird looking in that range because he's classified as a BR Class 37 instead of a BR Class 40, Diesel, 'Arry and Bert's wheels are too far apart, and Toby is over-sized.

I guess this is an unpopular opinion-
While I didn't hate "who's Geoffrey" I didn't love it either

Re: Unpopular Thomas Opinions
My favorite characters are all the Little Western characters (Duck, Donald and Douglas, Oliver, etc), Bear and Terence.
Re: Unpopular Thomas Opinions
Another unpopular opinion for me:
Although some consider season 8 the start of the dark era, for me it was season 7
Don't get me wrong, it had some good moments... but really, for me that was where things went sour

Heres another one:
Not only do i think Season 9 is the start of the dark era, but i hate this series more than any other Hit Model season. I even hate it just as much as Seasons 12-16
I find The Adventure Begins better than the original Season 1 episodes.

I actually don't mind how Duncan looks in the CGi series. Though I wish people wouldn't complain about how much less like his basis he looks. Edward never looked 100% like his basis, yet nobody complained about his design.
I don't get why people would complain about Donald and Douglas' CGi scale. Oliver I understand, but Donald and Douglas? I see no change in Donald's or Douglas' scale.

Re: Unpopular Thomas Opinions
Donald and Douglas just look smaller because Duck (who they've been seen with) is oversized.
Anyway, more unpopular opinions from me:
* I don't know why, but I don't really like the idea of loads of big name actors joining the cast.
* Duck in the Water should have aired after Duck and the Slip Coaches. DATSC would have been a nice way to set up the conflict between James and Duck, and after a long string of episodes of James constantly being the "bad guy" of each episode, it would have been better to end it with him learning his lesson on a positive note.
* I wouldn't mind if Duke doesn't return. It would be nice to see him, but just having the original six engines feels fine to me. Although I will say that it doesn't really feel complete with Sir Handel's lack of roles.
* This is more of a random opinion, but large scale Bachmann Thomas is better than the CGI render. I like how he's longer, and they've levelled out his buffers.

Re: Unpopular Thomas Opinions
I like Thomas & The Magic Railroad.
Spontaneous Crowd that is Spontaneous and Capitalizes its Words Whenever It pleases - "(GASP) HERESY!"
To an extent.
I think the plot idea (For the engines, anyway) is interesting. Not only are the only two who have always protected them are now either away or unable, but three (Five, if you wish to adhere to the original script) new enemies arrive - one attached with an illegal claw, one they already thought they were friends with, two imbeciles, and another one they dislike to a lesser extent.
And, while I don't like Lady, I certainly don't hate her - Mainly because we barely know anything about her. So, to all the Lady detractors, have you heard the Thomas song "Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover"? You don't have to like her, but it is like hating someone on the street that you know nothing about.

I don't mind the Duck size issue some members have been talking about. Perhaps the modelers didn't have a scale to work with when looking at pictures of the basis?

Well, I recall old promotional text saying he was 'A large tank engine'. This was before the introduction of Arthur, mind you.

The ones I made bold, I agree with you. The one I left alone I disagree and the one I made italic, my opinion isn't fully-fledged. I mean Thomas' CGi render looks a bit too small in my vision.
Now I see why people complain about the twins' scale. Duck's bigger than Ryan in both width, height and length, even though Duck's basis is smaller than Ryan's.

I think season 6 is when things began going downhill. It was not bad, but something seemed.. off, about season 6.

Re: Unpopular Thomas Opinions
1. Seasons 17 and 18 are overrated
2. Seasons 6 - 10 are underrated
3. TATMR is on of my favorite specials.
4. I feel that Ferdinand, Bash, and Dash could be revised to have more potential.
5. The Rws is confusing.

The ones I left normal I disagree. I believe Seasons 17 onwards get all the respect they deserve. While I don't consider TATMR a terrible special, I don't consider it great either.
The ones I made italic I don't have a fully-fledged opinion. The only confusing stories are The Diseasel (Thank the TV series for making the episode adaptation less confusing) and Percy and the Trousers. (Couldn't Wilbert wait half a decade?)
The one I made bold I agree. I also find Seasons 11 and 12 underrated.

1. Seasons 6-8 are underrated.
2. Season 7 is where the series started to go downhill while Season 9 was the first true season that was mediocre.
*I would also like to say that I am stuck with the unpopular idea that Thomas should probably look more like his basis making him a little more taller and longer, but I don't know because if Arc decides to do that some nostalgia would be lost.

Re: Unpopular Thomas Opinions
Here's an opinion of mine: besides seasons 1-5, seasons 8-11 are the best section of Thomas episodes.
Re: Unpopular Thomas Opinions
Seasons 5-7 was when the TV Series started to go downhill. Yes they are good seasons for most of it but Thomas, Edward, Percy, Toby, Duck and Oliver aren't running their branch lines for most of the time and Bill and Ben start working at the Ffarquhar Quarry instead of the China Clay pits. BoCo, Daisy, Stepney, Sir Handel and Duke disappear from the series around this time. Duck, Donald, Douglas, Oliver, Trevor and Terence also appear less during these seasons and Skarloey and Rheneas are dumbed down and the US version of this era has poor narrations.

Hopefully that won't happen because fans would go crazy over it.

I honestly don't mind what Thomas looks like now; and to be fair no E2s survived beyond 1962, so I would imagine back when David Mitton was building the models, he was mostly working with black and white photos and kind of had to estimate a lot of the proportions.

I thought they just used the Dalby pictures, hence why Percy does indeed look like a green Caterpillar with red stripes.
