Unpopular Thomas Opinions

I may be in the minority by saying that I like "Not Now Charlie". First off, some of his jokes were actually funny. "Hey Salty? Why are pirates called pirates?" That joke cracked me up (I'm a sucker for puns). Percy was not as clueless as usual, there was somewhat of an ensemble cast, it was well written, and sort of called back to "Henry and the Elephant".

I'll admit, that pirate joke made me laugh.

Some more unpopular opinions coming from my head:

I find the ERTL models somewhat weird looking. Not as weird looking as the Hornby models, but a bit weird looking. Henry is a bit short in length, Diesel Ten is classified as a BR Class 46 rather than a BR Class 42. James is shorter in length and height than Edward.

Signals Crossed is pretty good if you ignore Toby's Out of Character appearance.At least he got a lead role in the Arc series.

Yes, I see what you are saying; if we swapped out Toby for another engine, this would have been one of the better episodes this season.

Only thing I can think of:

Remember, Toby is mainly a branch line engine, so a giant mainline station like Knapford, I think it is reasonable for Toby to feel somewhat overwhelmed, considering branch line stations are not like that.

I actually didn't mind Pierce Brosnan's narrations in The Great Discovery. While I don't like him as much as George Carlin, Mark Moraghan or even S5 Alec Baldwin, I did think he was a breath of fresh air compared to Brandon and Angelis, who I feel were getting rather redundant at that point.

I dislike watching Season 14 more than Season 13 and 16. I mean, I didn't like S13 and 16 either, but for some reason, I tended to cringe at more episodes from S14

1. The only Season 15 episodes I liked were Stop That Bus, Stuck on You, Edward the Hero and Tree Trouble.
2. The Afternoon Tea Express wasn't that bad IMO.
3. I liked Fat Controller's last line in The Frozen Turntable "The tables have turned!" points for whoever gets the joke.

I suppose this technically is an unpopular opinion:

For me, season 7 is when the show started going downhill.

To me it sort of did too. I mean, it was a great season overall, but you could tell it was being dumbed down a little bit. This was also the case in Season 8, except instead of "a bit", we've got "It's like a whole other show!"

Same here. But Season 8 brought the show up again. (Yes I love the "Dark Series".)

I will admit, even season 8-12 had their moments... even if there were not very many of them

I think Chickens to School is the worst episode of TTTE.

Chickens to School is ridiculous, but if you put it next to Wonky Whistle makes it look like Edward's Exploit .

I remember when they showed on the TV when I was a child. Me and my sister laughed at the title.

Yes, some more opinions on Thomas coming out of my head:

1. I actually enjoy every Thomas song, even Misty Island Rescue and Thomas and Percy (Even though the latter annoys us about how Thomas and Percy are best friends)

2. Contradicting the above opinion, I find Thomas, You're the Leader somewhat overrated. Don't get me wrong, I love that song, but I feel it has so much attention.

3. I prefer Bert's TV Series design and Railway Series design (The design his basis was until the '70s) over the design his basis is now.

4. I prefer Henry's Season 2 onward design in the TV Series over his post 1951 Railway Series design.

5. I find Blue Mountain Mystery the best song from the Nitrogen era. I find Hey Hey Thomas and It's Gonna Be a Great Day to be the best of the Arc era to date. (Not counting the CGi remakes of the songs that were made when models were being used)

Another opinion

1. I actually like the CGI era songs over the model era songs
2. I dislike some of the new era (9-12) songs. I tend to find them very annoying.

Me too! I also hate the children's choir that sings some of the songs. With a few exceptions, I dislike the songs they sing (not the songs themselves, but the children singing it). The singers from S13 on are far superior in my opinion.

I prefer the Mike O' Donnell and Junior Campbell music and songs over Robert Harstone's music.

I never really cared for Take-N-Play 2012 onwards.

I prefer Take-N-Play from 2010-12 to Take Along.

Honestly, it had its moments, but the special overall was terrible. I watched it and all I could think of was "what has happened to the show that meant so much to me when I was younger?"

I don't hate Race to the Rescue... *runs*

I am not too fond of the Narrow Gauge Engines. Although after all these years, I am just now warming up to them.
