Thomas' World Tour discussion
Here we can discuss about a series of Thomas' World Tour videos on YouTube via Thomas & Friends' official channel:
Today's video is all about how Thomas visited the Wild West and rescues a stranded cow, before the Sheriff Tophatt would catch him for $1,000 reward money.

I found Thomas! Sherrif Top Hatt owes me $1000. But why is Thomas wanted? Thomas's World Tour is a clever and fun series. I like how they re-made A World Around You in CGI. I hope they do more. I think Thomas is Leaving Sodor is my favorite. I found Thomas as Cranky and iconic locations such as Big Ben and the Spynix funny. Especially Thomas as Hiro. I have it as my avatar because I prefer that one over laughing Jinty.

I like that they are using the "new" classic music!

This week's World Tour video where we can all sing to a familiar song devoting a certain place where Salty, Porter and Cranky work.

Honestly the trackmaster/tomy remakes are better.

This week's video is the start of Thomas' Comedy Showtime.... which was a really good one IMO (with voices provided by Rob Rackstraw and Keith Wickham).

Re: Thomas' World Tour discussion
I just hope that they choose to make fun of something else aside from Up, Up and Away. Seriously, it was indirectly mocked in King of the Railway, and then there was that reference in Tale of the Brave. Yes, the episode is stupid, but it doesn't need to be mocked every single time...
Aside from that, I thought the video was pretty decent. The jokes were pretty funny (moreso than Charlie's for certain!), and while I am starting to get sick of Up, Up and Away constantly being mocked every single time, I thought the jokes about that were pretty funny too. I'd like to see them take the mickey out of Wonky Whistle, or The Christmas Tree Express.

I actually laughed out of loud at the joke about two full-grown engines pulling a giant balloon...I thought it was a cute nod to us. I don't know, I appreciate it when they call out to the fanbase like that at times. I mean, so many people in this community have said far worse and they're just acknowledging that they agree that the idea of it seems a bit unrealistic.

I very much appreciated them making fun of Slippy Sodor too! I'd like to see them try Wonky Whistle or something next!
Re: Thomas' World Tour discussion
This week's video shows how Thomas heads North....
Frosted fenders! Thomas is in the arctic! He finds a woolly mammoth, sees the northern lights, and encounters a giant yeti! How will he ever get back to Sodor?

I'm not a fan of these trackmaster videos, but I like the comedy showtime thing. It is like HiT are putting their hands up to their mistake rather than forgetting it ever happened like most TV shows do.

Re: Thomas' World Tour discussion
The CGI faces in these trackmaster videos are super creepy.
The thing I do like about them however, is that it feels a lot like what playing with Thomas was like as a kid.

I've sent HiT an Email with a request to consider an episode on israel, and I'm quite interested to see what they could come up with.

I never liked the Trackmaster videos; they just feel rather generic.

Could we have Thomas smash through the GREAT WALL OF CHINA INSTEAD?

Re: Thomas' World Tour discussion
Now, for the comic book shorts, I want Thomas to visit
England (maybe London, York, Nottingham, etc.)
Ireland
New Jersey
Scotland
Wales
Iceland
and Pennsylvania

* I'd rather the "Western Wall".Lord History wrote:Something similar to Thomas' accident in Thomas and the Special Letter.laG roiL wrote:I've sent HiT an Email with a request to consider an episode on israel, and I'm quite interested to see what they could come up with.

Hell no, that would be the worst idea ever. I told them not to show an antisemitic side (not even accidentally), and gave them Wikipedia links on the country, its culture, transport, rail transport and Rakevet Yisrael.
