Thomas Land discussion

Here we can discuss about Thomas Land in all theme parks, including the upcoming one that will be opening this Summer at Edaville Railroad in Southern Massachusetts, USA.

So happy I live so close to the new Thomas Land. Edaville has been a declining business for 30 years so it is great the owner is reviving it this way. Although I am afraid it may loose some of it's charm.

I actually went to Thomas Land at Drayton Manor two times now. My first visit there was back in September 2009, and you can see it all here on YouTube:

Five years later, I went there for a second visit after a hugely organised train walk called All Aboard for Autism by The National Autistic Society and the Fat Controller. I was lucky enough to having paid £10 for a ticket to gain entrance to Drayton Manor, and off to Thomas Land I went to have lots of fun again! In the end, I felt so giddy and tired after all the fun I have ever had that day.

I've never been to a Thomas Land before, but I would definitely like to go to Drayton Manor eventually.

I must say, the new expansion looks smashing! It's interesting to note that both the new Toby's Tram Express and the Flynn's Fire Rescue rides are going to be a part of the Thomas Land coming to Edaville USA this summer!
I found a Blogspot page from a comment on the FB post that has a couple of construction pictures of the new Airport building, along with some of the SS&RS buildings, and it looks FANTASTIC! I really like what they're doing for the Airport, and how it's not just being used as some generic theming! Though it does make me wonder when the show will bring it back...
The Blogspot post also shows a revamp to the Blue Mountain Engines ride, with Merrick being placed in the middle, and a quarry backdrop behind it. This could hint at what the US version at Edaville will look like! I personally feel the new look fits the area of the ride MUCH better. It feels more like the quarry than the bland area surrounding it before.
Overall, very excited about the big revamp! Can't wait to hear more news about this and ESPECIALLY the Thomas Land for Edaville!

I wonder why Lady was a ride. Anyway, I visited Thomas Land last summer. I had a BLAST. I remember listening to those classic Thomas songs (Every Cloud Has Silver Lining, Thomas' Anthem, etc...) while waiting for Thomas to come. It was a childhood dream come true (even if LADY was a ride). I also remember riding Winston, Harold and Lady (I wish I went on Bertie instead). I also bought Trackmaster Timothy, Gator and Scared James there and Wooden Railway Stafford (because I was at Staffordshire and it would make sense). But the BEST thing of all was the model exhibition. I was hyped to see the things that made my childhood in person. Thomas Land is the best theme park ever, nothing can change that.

I didn't realize there were two pages of threads, so I tried to bump down the D&D Returning Locked Thread.  bounce
