Re: Stories That Could of Been Adapted in the TV Series
I'd personally love to see that book be adapted as a special, almost like The Adventure Begins. Another narrow gauge-centric sequel would be wonderful.

Yes; seeing more of the narrow gauge engines would be nice.
Maybe they should consider the stories of New Little Engine to be adapted.

I think Stop Thief should have been made for the TV Series. It would teach kids that stealing is a crime.

Indeed
But above all else, I think the consensus is we want to see Super Rescue, right?
(Everywhere I look when this kind of discussion comes up, literally that story is always mentioned at least once.)

Because it's a classic. Everyone likes Bear.
But I agree, Stop Thief! Is a personal favorite as well.

Re: Stories That Could of Been Adapted in the TV Series
Stop Thief would have probably been a bit tricky to make in Season 4 (When Fish and Mind that Bike were adapted) but I think in CGI it could be done brilliantly. I am not sure how the current legal agreements work though and how/if the new production team can adapt RWS stories now.

It's not just Bear everyone wants, I love the story on How two diesels show up, they brag about being newer, they eventually break down, and the one engine that saves them is Henry, one of the engines with some of the worst problems ever to happen to an engine. It makes you feel good that the ones that deserved their comeuppance. It's message shows just because you're newer, doesn't mean you're always reliable.

Actually, that story was my favorite when I was younger because of D199, not 7101. I still like 199 better than Bear in this story, although overall I like Bear better now.
Re: Stories That Could of Been Adapted in the TV Series
Exactly, it's not even about Bear that makes it a good episode. It's epic and triumphant. I think that is what always carried that original story.

Indeed. And I have seen on YouTube; fans are making wonderful adaptions of the story

I also kind of want to see Thomas and the Great Railway Show (for some reason, that seems like the wrong title). It's got potential to teach about railway history, provides plenty of merch, and would have a reason to use Thomas, rather than shoehorning him in.

Makes sense actually; and we get to see the mainland

Following Tugboatfan4's statement, I'd like to see Enterprising Engines adapted into a special, similar to The Adventure Begins.

Re: Stories That Could of Been Adapted in the TV Series
If they were doing a special like TAB, Mountain Engines could work.
Re: Stories That Could of Been Adapted in the TV Series
Mountain Engines would be great. Of course, they'd need Thomas to have a significant role somehow...
What about Gordon the High-Speed Engine? Or Old Stuck-up?

Re: Stories That Could of Been Adapted in the TV Series
Both would be great; Old Stuck-Up is a personal favorite, and Philippa would be great to have.
Re: Stories That Could of Been Adapted in the TV Series
Sometimes, I feel that Mind That Bike could have been adapted properly to teach kids how dangerous it is to play near railways. However, the actual adaptation showed why you mustn't leave any of your belongings leaning on any form of transport, especially when the transport is about to leave.
Yeah, Gordon the High-Speed Engine could have been adapted.
They could have adapted Thomas and the Evil Diesel.

Overall, I think I like the TV version of Mind That Bike better.
Re: Stories That Could of Been Adapted in the TV Series
For some reason, i actually quite like to see the stories from Thomas and the Great Railway Show adapted.
I think that the series needs to show that Sodor, even though a fantasy island, is a part of the British Isles and this would also give a chance for real-life engines to get some TV roles.

Yes... I mean Mallard would be easy to create... they'd just need to recolor Spencer's CGI model

Re: Stories That Could of Been Adapted in the TV Series
Yeah, Thomas And The Great Railway Show and Thomas Comes Home would have been good.
Re: Stories That Could of Been Adapted in the TV Series
And they could adapt it to include City Of Truro and Flying Scotsman, too!
What about the other SR stories?

Re: Stories That Could of Been Adapted in the TV Series
I think he means Skarloey Railway.
Also they could recreate Stepney the Bluebell Engine as a special like TAB.
