I actually want to see the Skarloey Railway and the Small Railway interact with each other in some way. I think it would be interesting to see this in the future. Also, it would be clever since Duke, Peter Sam and Sir Handel worked on the Mid Sodor Railway years before the Arlesdale Railway was built. I am really surprised no one has brought this up before me!

Oh, I wasn't aware of that. It sounds interesting. Also, I was referring to no one bringing the topic up on this thread specifically, but thanks for letting me know about that topic.

Well, of course nobody brought it up on this thread because
a) This is the UN-popular opinions thread, whereas all of us would love to see that.
b) Theres an ERS book about it.

Maybe the Arlesdale Railway could be extended to Ulfstead Castle or the Blue Mountain Quarry.

Why would it though? I don't see the purpose of doing that. Plus there isn't any room at the quarry or the castle for them.

Well, all of Sodor's rail lines reach three general vicinity of Peel Godred. Why not build an elaborate interchange there? I'd love to see that.

We have the transfer yards, what more do you want?

Image if they introduced a location were all standard, narrow, mountain and miniature gauges met.

The Steamworks. Maybe there's a big party there or something?

The CFR and Arlesdale don't reach the Steamworks. That's why I said Peel Godred.

The Steamworks still sort of counts since the Arlesdale Railway can be taken there.

For me Rosie, Freddie and Mighty Mac were pointless characters.

Here's which S9-16 characters who I think are pointless and which ones are not:

Pointless: Billy, Hank, Flora (though I'm warming up to her), Freddie, Neville, Mighty Mac, Charlie, Flynn, and the Logging Locos

Not Pointless: Rosie, Stanley, Belle, Molly, Hector, and Rocky

I'm not really a fan of the original (S1-7) intro. Not that it's bad, but it's getting a bit too overplayed these days, and when it gets overplayed you end up getting tired of it y'know?

More unpopular opinions from me:

1. The new intro isn't that great to me. While I do like how it showcases more characters than just strictly Thomas, the theme song is really outdated.
2. The US dubs of The Adventure Begins and Henry Spots Trouble are better than the UK dubs. While I do love John Hasler's Thomas voice in TAB, the fact that Keith Wickham voices over 85% of the characters in the special is distracting. His Henry voice also doesn't make him sound genuinely frightened of the rain/chickenpox compared to Kerry Shale's Henry voice (though I don't like his Henry voice much either). I also don't really like how the UK dub of Really Useful Engine unnecessarily replaces some of the lyrics with "'Cause the Fat Controller, he told him so".

Wait, I had no idea that lyric was reinstated. I didn't think they'd rerecord it for the UK release.

That doesn't mean he's pointless. Is Thomas pointless because he had LOTS AND LOTS of very bad episodes? It's Miller's fault, not Flynn's.

Thomas was originally a good character but was reverted with a bad personality and Hit just forced him in. Flynn's situation is different.

More Opinions
1. I prefer the Season 1 beginning over TAB.
2. I prefer Henry's UK voice over his US voice. Same with James.
3. Donald and Douglas' returns are overdue and should of returned between Seasons 17-19.
4. It's strange Harvey returned before Donald and Douglas, Oliver and Toad.

Didn't Belle make firefighters look like idiots by obsessing over someone because they have a bell? Isn't that like becoming a stalker because that person has fingernails?

How is it different? Flynn became a good character in Season 17 so it is that bad?

Also, Donald and Douglas' returns are overdue? How? Not everyone can return at once you know. Just be grateful they're back to begin with. As for Harvey, I think it's because of the model at Drayton Manor or something. Or maybe because his model is relatively easy to make. Or..maybe they just had more ideas for him?

Flynn wasn't forced in like Thomas, he was just written and started out bad what I meant by different. His character from Season 17 Onward is just too meh for me. I was originally expecting Donald and Douglas to return in Season 18 or 19 and I probably meant late. Overdue would be Daisy, BoCo, Duke and the road characters excluding Bertie.
