What class is Sydney?
Do you think Sydney is a British Railways 08 or similar, or a Victorian Railways F Class regauged?

He is actually a Class 08. So are several other characters actually, I believe there are at least nine. Or are you talking about the magazine character?
Re: What class is Sydney?
No, im talking about the diesel. I know that several other engines are 08s, but if you look at his livery, it rather resembles that of an F class. Many other VR fans agree with me, and i was curious as to other (Nonbiased) opinions.

He's canonically a Class 08. Remember, he uses the same render as Paxton with a different face and livery. The livery itself could be inspired by it, though I'd just put that down to coincidence.

Who's Sydney?
Jk
The livery is probably a coincidence.

Re: What class is Sydney?
Does anyone else find it kind of lazy that so many diesels are class 08s, yet we have so many different steam engines?
I mean, there is: Diesel, Paxton, Sidney, Arry, Bert, and even the non-canon Splatter and Dodge

I agree completely, which is why i like to cling to the idea that maybe Sydney is an F class. Also, slightly off topic, dies anyone else find it strange that scince thier introduction, Sydney, Paxron and Norman have never been refered to as Syd, Pax and Norm respectivley, and none of them have lived up to their character traits?

It's actually spelt "Sidney", with an "I". Weird, I know, but I don't work at HiT.

That's not true: Paxton has been very gullible, Sidney's episode proves he can't remember jack poop, and Norman we rarely see out of the Dieselworks.

Re: What class is Sydney?
I'm gonna go with the idea of Paxton and Sidney being F class. Since someone brought this topic up I honestly think 'Arry and Bert and Splodge are Class 13s instead of Class 08s. They would look exactly like Diesel, Paxton and Sidney if they were Class 08s and Class 13s have two locomotives in each pair, a master and a slave. The only difference is the iron twins and Splodge all have cabs when the slave locomotive is cabless.
