Annuals Discussion
Here we can discuss the Thomas the Tank Engine Annuels!
I've always found these very interesting! In the early days they were like "the lost Railway Series stories". I always get a kick out of Christopher Awdry's short stories!

It does seem so! :-P Just like you, I also really liked Christopher's short RWS stories! I prefer the older ones to the ones we have nowadays!

I love the old annuals too! It's almost like the lost Railway Series stories! They're a lot of fun!
Re: Annuals Discussion
I'd really like to read some old annuals. I have most of the new ones, but they are just based on the last series and they are quite boring. They're just like extended magazines.
Are the Annuals the same in the UK, US, Canada and Australia (and other English speaking countries)?

Re: Annuals Discussion
It's a shame they aren't but I don't think Egmont has the rights to publish them outside the UK, much like the RWS.
Re: Annuals Discussion
Forgive me, but I am not sure I understand; what were the " annuals?"

I think a booklet that you either buy or subscribe to that (obviously) comes out once a year.

Re: Annuals Discussion
It's kind of like a Thomas magazine, with coloring pages, stories, 'meet the characters', etc.
