Awesome pictures Dan! I have not met anyone famous in the Thomas world, I hope to some day! I guess my signed copy of Reading Between the Lines is close enough!

Wow! That's very cool! I haven't met anyone either, but I have signed copies of Reading Between the Lines and Four Little Engines, which I'm quite fond of

Re: Meeting Thomas People
A lot of people know that I went to Arc in 2013 and still keep in touch with them, so I won't go on about that
A lesser told story, however, is that Christopher Awdry came to Canada around 10 years ago for a Thomas tour of some kind, and they had a "playdate" event at the local children's theatre and he came along. I met him (but was too shy to say anything!) but my mom and sister talked with him and I sat right next to him. I remember we talked to him for about 10 minutes and he was a very nice man...I have some pictures from that event still, not with him, but instead of me sitting inside of a big Thomas model.

That's so cool! I'd love to meet an Awdry! I'd have so many questions! You're lucky!
Re: Meeting Thomas People
Last Saturday, I went to see 'The 2000 Year Old Man' show at JW3 Theatre that stars Kerry Shale and Chris Neill. The show is still being shown until March 22nd, for those of you who live in London:

Along the way, I met Teresa Gallagher again, who also went to see the show alongside her husband. It was really nice seeing both Teresa and Kerry again.

At long last, here are some autographs I've collected from these wonderful people I had ever met.
Christopher Awdry
Sam Wilkinson (Railway Consultant)
Mark Moraghan
Teresa Gallagher
David Bedella
Kerry Shale
(This one also features some autographs from Teresa Gallagher and Chris Neill)

I'm not exactly sure if she did meet him but my Aunt Tracy once gave a copy of RWS Book #2 signed by Christopher. I have yet to meet anyone though

I'd be curious to know if she did! I know for a while he sold signed stuff on his website.
Re: Meeting Thomas People
I haven't met anyone like this yet, but I hope one day to meet the creator of the tv series, and thank him/her for the show that was my comfort during a troubled time in my life (see the Thomas and autism thread)

You mean Britt Alcroft?
Re: Meeting Thomas People
If she is the one who created the show, yes. The show was a big part of my childhood and I want to thank the person who made it possible.

She created the TV as we know it, so that's who you're probably thinking of.
Re: Meeting Thomas People
On April 8th during the expansion launch event at Drayton Manor's Thomas Land, I met Ian McCue, the current producer of Thomas & Friends, in person and we both happily getting acquainted with one another like good friends. Later we had a picture taken behind the fountain of The Fat Controller outside the newly built Sodor Airport.
It was one of those best times I have ever had, alongside the event itself that day.
