I like the show, but Thomas is much better.

Re: Thoughts on Chuggington?
I've watched a handful of episodes...it's decent. When I have time and am not catching up on something else I watch I sometimes watch an episode. It's not TTTE but it does have it's own charm. I will say one thing, even if it isn't all that realistic many of the engines are loosely based of of real engines...loosely being the word.

Re: Thoughts on Chuggington?
I've seen a few episodes... And I didn't like it. There was something about it that didn't appeal to me, so I'll take Thomas over this any day

Re: Thoughts on Chuggington?
I can see why; but for me Chuggington is too silly and cheesy for my tastes. At least with Thomas it has a believably to it, and that is one of its appeals

Re: Thoughts on Chuggington?
I feel like reality isn't really Chugginton's thing (although big ballon). I mean, it's like the Norramby Initiative taken up 100 notches (MilkTankerMedia)! And couldn't they just jump back on to the rails when they're derailed?

Re: Thoughts on Chuggington?
I'm starting to get a little bit more interested into Chuggington due to the expansion of the railway like Chuggington Harbor. But, the thing that would fully get me into the show is off-rail vehicle characters, not just humans like Eddie.
Re: Thoughts on Chuggington?
One of the things I dont like is how the rails in the city are set up, there are trains through condo buildings. That is not practical

Re: Thoughts on Chuggington?
Also, it seems the characters have bland personalities. Another thing that would get me into this show is gauges. Maybe a narrow or miniature gauge railway that works in coincide with Chuggington? A quarry or wharf narrow gauge railway? A quaint miniature railway for Chuggington? Honestly, if Chuggington added more gauges than just standard, I would get into it. Maybe a dual-gauge railway even.
Re: Thoughts on Chuggington?
I did a LucRant on an article that said Thomas had bland personalities and said Chuggington was better. Yeah right!
Also, I think this thread should be moved to off topic, since it's not about Thomas?

Re: Thoughts on Chuggington?
This is honestly what Chuggington should add.
CHUGGINGTON HARBOR RAILWAY
The Chuggington Harbor Railway is a narrow gauge railway. The engines work by the wharf as well as forklifts and cranes. Their line runs from the wharf to the main harbor. Then, there is a dual gauge shipping yards where the line ends at. There is also a line from the harbor that also takes the narrow gauge engines to a line beside the Chuggington Countryside Railway. There is a standard gauge line by the transfer yards where the engines of Chuggington Junction can get goods from the narrow gauge engines.
Engines:
Daniel the Blue Narrow Gauge Steam Engine
Harley the Cheery Narrow Gauge Diesel
Nick the Cheeky Red Narrow Gauge Steam Shunter
Other Vehicle/s
Marco the Green Forklift
Will the Wharf Crane
The NG Chuggington engines resemble their standard gauge counterparts
Nick- Wilson
Harley-Koko
Daniel- Brewster
Something like this in Chuggington would get me fully attached.

Re: Thoughts on Chuggington?
Honestly I don't like Chuggington that much; the characters just seem very very bland. Wilson's...nice...I guess. Brewster's...nice but still kinda a jerk...maybe? And Koko...is a girl. Yeah I don't know.

Agree. I don't like Chuggington either. The faces of the engines look creepy and would probably scare small children more then Thomas would.

@Zach
That's very, very nice, but it'd be far too realistic for Chuggington, and difficult to handle. You could've shown this to CalleyFan, since he works closely with the production crew and could've suggested it to them.

I don't think the faces are creepy or off-putting at all. I just don't think it's a good show. It feels like it's talking down to its audience. Thomas, at the very least, doesn't feel like it's pandering every five seconds.

Re: Thoughts on Chuggington?
I agree, and let's think about the plots too: Tug of War on a bridge because the engines dont have ***** to do, trying to launch a METEOR BACK INTO SPACE, and trying to learn to make ice cream when an engine ALREADY DOES THAT NON-STOP!

Re: Thoughts on Chuggington?
I saw it a few times. The only thing I remember from that show are the Bill and Ben ripoffs (or Mighty Mac ripoff, rather) and the rest I forgot within a few hours. It's also like the rest of that Disney Junior garbage. It makes my ears bleed and its bright color are more distracting, if anything.

Re: Thoughts on Chuggington?
Yeah I also don't like Disney Junior and to be clear Disney doesn't make Chuggington, they just have the rights to show it. It's made by BBC.ShroomstagramUser wrote:I saw it a few times. I knew Chuggington wasn't made by Disney (thank the heavens), but I first saw it on Disney Junior, and it doesn't air on BBC America.ThomasSirHandel wrote:Yeah I also don't like Disney Junior and to be clear Disney doesn't make Chuggington, they just have the rights to show it.
