Quoted from Postopia thread.
I've deleted the original post on the Postopia thread.

This is a parody made by Ryan from SiF based around the attitude of a small section of the fanbase towards the current state of the show, particularly those on You Tube and Twitter.
It highlights the things that are wrong with this fanbase right now. There are people who still think that everything the show does is bad, without really watching the episodes properly and forming an opinion on it.
Also, I wasn't sure where to post it. I could have put it in the Fan Fiction board, but it isn't my work and I think it would have felt wrong. We also don't have a Fan base discussion thread.

Re: Thomas Fandom Discussion
So here we talk about the Thomas fan community? So things like how we feel about it?

Re: Thomas Fandom Discussion
A bit trivial, but it's been bugging me for a while.
~A fan of Star Trek is called a Trekkie
~A fan of Doctor Who is called a Whovian
~A fan of My Little Pony is called a Brony/Pegasister
So what do you call a Thomas fan?

Re: Thomas Fandom Discussion
I have no idea. All I've got at the moment is "Diesel" for a Troll.

Re: Thomas Fandom Discussion
We already have a word for trolls. It's "troll".
Actually, that sounds pretty good, but what do we call the non-trolls?

Re: Thomas Fandom Discussion
Neil Patrick Harris tried to call us tankies, but I think it went down like a lead balloon.

Yeah... there's tender engines and diesels too!
What about Sudrians? In-universe, it means "inhabitants of Sodor", but it might just work for us.

Re: Thomas Fandom Discussion
I like Sudrians. It sounds more mature than tankies.

Re: Thomas Fandom Discussion
I guess that settles it, now the only way to get it to stick is to have someone famous in the community to start using the term.

Re: Thomas Fandom Discussion
But who to ask is the question.
Most of the big Thomas guys I can think of are TWR focused, so per se not the best choice. Sorry guys, I wish I could be a better help

Re: Thomas Fandom Discussion
JLouvier is an idea; but is he "Thomas in general", or is he more TWR focused? He would be a good start to put forward the term though.

Re: Thomas Fandom Discussion
So, anyone else concur? Calling fans of Thomas "Sudrians" in the same vein Doctor Who fans are called "Whovians" and Star Trek fans are called "Trekies"

Re: Thomas Fandom Discussion
But by extension, "Whovian" has the same problem, and nobody's complained about it. I say it still works
Re: Thomas Fandom Discussion
Anyone notice Mike Grady (voice of the Earl) has followed a bunch of us fans on Twitter?

He followed me! He's also joining discussions! That's so cool!
Re: Thomas Fandom Discussion
On Twitter? Congratulations guys; that's awesome
I agree with Toz though; I think Sudrians still works. Hey, maybe if Mike Grady likes it, then we could really get the term to catch on.
