Thomas and Friends Postopia Thread
Here you can post anything Thomas related that doesn't fit into other threads! A good place for general chatter!
Re: Thomas and Friends Postopia Thread
I have a factory error TWR Duncan that has Peter Sam's face and has the bottom part of Rocky's front car.

One thing I`ve been thinking about, Henry is a great example of a rags to riches story.
He started life as a failed experiment and became one of the best engines in the NWR, in terms of his basis, I believe he was turned into a LMS Black 5 if my memory serves. Just a thought, feel free to tell me your thoughts on this, and correct anything I am wrong about.

I think I have found something out,
Henry, LMS, works around fish.
Arthur, LMS, works around fish.

Re: Thomas and Friends Postopia Thread
Here's something else to think about:
Duck is from the GWR
Arthur is from the LMS
Gordon, if I recall correctly, started on the LNER
So all that is missing is an engine representing the SR

That's actually something I've never thought of. It's a good point though, and, I wonder if we'll see a "Henry Movie". Let's say The Adventure Begins was Thomas', and maybe Edward's will be next. Right now the speculation seems to be we may see a series of RWS adaptations but instead of being RWS-based they are more character based. They had a series of Winnie the Pooh films too dedicated to the main characters I believe.

Does Thomas not count? Or Stepney?

What's your views on Tobias & The Half-Pariah film from Tines?
I was able to watch it a couple of days ago (when I had two hours to kill) and I was blown away!! I like how Tines decided to give the characters a fresh slate and create a new universe out of an existing one but still retaining the charm that both possessed. My favourite aspect of the film is the Voice Acting and the Dialogue. I was stunned at how much passion every individual voice had! They gave it their all and it shows. The dialogue and storyline actually reminds me of a couple of Animes I used to watch years ago. Rosario + Vampire comes to mind a lot when watching it. I wonder whether these were an inspiration when Tines was writing the script?
Would anyone like to share there views?
P.s. Who's looking forward to the Sequel?

I've never seen it, and frankly I don't have any interest in seeing it.

Fair enough. I would suggest you watch it; it's worth the watch. Yes, it's two hours long. But it is a project which is like no other.

I've heard nothing but good things about it but I don't have a time for something that long

Fair enough, though if you do have two hours to spare, jump at the chance to watch it (providing you have an internet connection)! You will be satisfied!SwitchMonkey wrote:I've heard nothing but good things about it but I don't have a time for something that long

I just wanted to check, do we have a thread on the animation in the CGI Series? I don't want to create one if we already have one.

So you thought it was "all the different roles to play"? Well I guess what is worse than that is in TATMRR where diesel 10 says "I cracked myself up" I thought he said "I cracked my cell phone"

Re: Thomas and Friends Postopia Thread
I have two new cousins in my family (twins!). I'm hoping my Auntie will get them into Thomas and Friends so that I have a new reason to look in the Thomas section in shops. My Auntie loved Thomas when she was little, so that's a good sign!
It's just really annoying that most Thomas toys are for children at least 3 years old. Even soft ones are for 18 months + because they have cardboard to keep the shape.
I might check with my mum if she thinks that the Series 1 DVD is appropriate, or if its dropping a hint that is too big .

Does anyone know what this is supposed to be? It is under Awdry and published by Egmont.
It looks like something to do with Thomas and it is a hardback book. But what does Cl, 1 and 3 mean?

Not really sure. But I would say a large portion of new Thomas books are labeled as written by Awdry.

The SLOTOT books are, so it doesn't really tell us about this mystery book!

Looks good, but why'd you use a story from Edward the Blue Engine as the cover?

We have another mystery book! This one looks more exciting. I'm hoping it is the complete collection with the Christopher Awdry books.
